Again, as with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ionisation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hear any real structure in this piece (although some parts sound like call-and-response between the left and right stereo speakers). It has a kind of nice \u00e2\u20ac\u0153gee whiz\u00e2\u20ac\u009d effect, and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m sure it had even more of such an effect when it was originally composed. But I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not sure I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d want to listen to this piece repeatedly (other than the 6 or 8 times I’ve listened to it already). If this is a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153po\u00c3\u00a8me\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s definitely in free verse and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not sure that it rhymes. This piece reminds me a little of Frank Zappa\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Pedro\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Dowry\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and maybe some of Zappa\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s other stuff, but, frankly, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d rather hear Zappa, because it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s more dense and often has a good beat. I hope I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not being too critical, but I like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Po\u00c3\u00a8me \u00c3\u00a8lectronique\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the same sense that I like the Beatles\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Revolution 9\u00e2\u20ac\u009d: I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m glad it was recorded and I enjoy listening to it when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m in the mood for it, but I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not in the mood for it all that often.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
